Hi there. My name is Lori, and I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 7 years. Both of my boys are now in school, and I am looking for a family or two that I can help. I truly enjoy being with children, and would love to be a nanny for some children.
I have a degree in Human Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Cal Poly. I also have experience working with children ages 4 months through 12 years old, with 10 years worth of paid experience.
As a stay-at-home mom for my boys, I took them to Music Together, Mothersong, the park, the beach, and on hikes. I taught them sign language so they could communicate with me before they could use their words. I love to let children create, whether it is through art or doing baking projects. I was an instructor for Music Together, and love to make music with children and sing. I am very active, and love to play sports, run around, and be silly. I also believe in routines, positive discipline, and helping children learn how to help themselves.
I am looking for a family to help in the SLV mountain area, or in Santa Cruz, Capitola, Soquel, or Aptos area. I can do some after-school time, as long as I can have my boys around as well. I will help keep your house clean, and will make sure your children are happy and healthy when you return home.
I have a mini-van, with a clean driving record, and can escort 5 children safely with car seats.
