From 2008-2010, I worked at an after school program. This job required me to work with children ranging from ages 4-13 years old, providing general supervision while helping with homework and organizing activities. I then took a job as a summer-time nanny for a 7-year-old boy while his parents were at their full-time jobs. During the same summer, I took a weekend job in an indoor ball facility which holds parties, camps, and preschool leagues for children. This job provided me with further experience working with children ranging from ages 3-14. Following this position, I worked at a fitness club in their child care facility. While working there, I was responsible for small groups of children ranging in age from 6 months-10 years. I was also a volunteer during high school at a gym class for special needs students and also volunteered briefly for the Special Olympics. I am CPR certified and I am currently a student at the College of New Jersey with a double major in History and Secondary Education. Although I am in school to become a high school teacher, I love working with younger kids.
