I was first introduced to babysitting/nannying during my childhood. My mother was a stay-at-home mom and cared for many of my friends and their younger brothers and sisters. As I matured, I was given more responsibilities, until the day came where I was allowed to babysit on my own. I cared for several families in the Geneva area from age 15-18. Most households ranged from 2-4 children, ages <1-10. Predominantly, I cared for one family of 3 young boys. Throughout my time with this family, a fourth little boy was born with developmental disabilities. My experiences with him taught me a lot about parenting and responsibility. I have been in charge of feeding for children of all ages, care, entertainment, transportation, during/post college. I was able to add education to my list of abilities and qualifications. I have a degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. I have student taught and completed internships in all grade levels, making me an excellent tutor and homework helper as well. My education in Arizona also brought about new nannying positions; one even on a movie set! I find myself to be extremely caring, responsible, clean, and reliable when it comes to working with children. Many of the families that I have worked for have become like family to me. I am hoping to find that in a nanny job again.
