I am the mother of three grown children, all three have grown to become fantastic human beings. I also have three grandchildren whose lives I am very involved in. I think children are the single most important resource this planet has.

I did have my own daycare business in my home for over five years. When I began a relationship with a man who is now my husband I left the daycare business in Michigan to live in Minnesota with him. We were planning a foster home of our own, but life being what it is with little surprises, we have yet to do so. Needless to say, our "nest" is becoming rapidly empty and I am almost literally aching for little ones again. Since I don't have the large house anymore to care for children in a daycare setting, the thought of becoming a nanny came to me. I have a high regard for children and raising them right.

I do not believe anyone who spends 40 hours with your child is merely a babysitter; they are helping you raise your child. There would need to be tight communication between myself and anyone whose children are under my care.

I also have been an officer of the court in the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) program. I encourage you to read up on it, it was a highlight in my life and I plan to return to that.
