I have babysat younger children since I was 13. When I was 14 I was a part time paid caregiver for a 2nd grader; I picked her up from the bus stop five days a week, did her homework with her, prepared her dinner and got her ready for bed. At 15 I was a reoccurring babysitter for three wonderful children ages three to 10. When I was 16 I watched two 9-year-old fraternal twins, girl and boy. At the age of 17 I voluntarily tutored the younger students in the dorm at my school five nights out of the week and when I was in college I continued that passion through a paid work study program which gave me the opportunity to tutor elementary school students in reading, math and test prep. After leaving college due to financial reasons I moved in with my 83-year-old grandmother and provided care for her for the next two years.
