I am a dedicated, loving person with extensive experience caring for infants to 12-year-old children.
Some of my child related background work has included:
*Full-time live-in nanny in Del Mar, CA for two children, 1 and 3 years old, for 5 years. Parents are a Lawyer and CEO, and I did varied travel with them when required. Some of my responsibilities included: Driving children to school, play dates, doctor visits and other engagements, when needed, cooking healthy holistic foods, tidying up children's areas, using appropriate disciplinary methods, such as: time outs, consistency, and redirecting, daily communication with parents, engaging children in playful learning, staying active and interested in the world around them, arts and crafts, music, reading, and some other adventures along the way.
From 2004 to 2009 I was working full-time at a Charter School as a Student Services Facilitator. My primary job was Student Supervision in play areas and First Aid care as needed, helping Physical Education teacher with half of her students, teaching various activities. Normally about 35 students per teacher, because we had three classes at one time per each grade level. In addition to that, I ran the Safety Patrol Program after school, and at various times coached sports. Currently, I have just completed my position with a 18-month-old baby girl who is exceptional in her development. She is very smart, and has been an absolute joy to be around. Her mommy is expecting another child by August, and has just finished up her schooling this May. She has decided to stay home with the children, but would like me to be there with her during her delivery.
Protecting and nurturing children with love and respect is part of who I am. My goal is to be a encouraging guide for them, adjusting to their pace and comfort level. Children are a blessing, kindness, patience, and care is required. I am always honored by each new experience I have had along the way.
I am looking forward to a new connection with a wonderful family. I am seeking a full-time live-in nanny opening, which I can start within a weeks notice. My rate of pay and further information is located on this profile.
