I have 10+ years experience as a maternal-newborn nurse, and I am certified in CPR. I also have over 30 years experience in caring for children, from newborns through school age. I have a 14-year-old daughter of my own. My love of kids started early with babysitting, at the age of 12, and at 15, I lived with a family for the summer and cared for their 4 children, ages newborn through 8. My daughter is going into high school. She and I lead an active and healthy lifestyle. I love to attend my daughter's soccer and basketball games, walk, swim, read and explore Maine.

My philosophy of caring for children focuses on safety, active learning, fun, and variety, along with gentle and consistent discipline. I am kind, patient, have sound judgement and lots of energy. I actively participate in the child(ren)'s day. I haven't met a child that hasn't warmed up to me. The individual needs of each child are always considered, as well as the personal requests of the parent(s). I believe good communication is vital to any working relationship.
