Child care has always been in my life. I come from a big family and have taken care of children since the age of 13. I started my true child care career in 1999. I had moved to Oklahoma and received a job at a 5 star daycare center in Yukon, Oklahoma. I became the lead teacher for the young 4-year-old classroom. After a year there, I decided to open my own home daycare center which I had for 4 years. I loved having my own daycare but it was very time consuming and had heard of a assistant director's position and decided to apply for it. I received the job and actually was bumped up to direct shortly after I started. I was with this center for a year and a half, loved what I did, but missed my family. I then decided to apply for a secretarial position at my children's school, and received the job. This was an amazing job. I was with the school district for the entire year but in the summer, my husband received a great job opportunity in Montana, so we moved. From that point I have worked in centers as a driver, cook, and an infant and toddler teacher. Child care is what I know and love, and I couldn't think of a better way to spend my days!
