I am a mom with 2 daughters, age 16 and 10. I have been married for 26 years, so I am very experienced in the areas of cooking, cleaning, laundry, and childcare. I volunteer at the schools of my daughters and have helped with Bible school and the church nursery. I have a bachelor's degree in English, and was previously a federal investigator and a systems analyst in IT. More recently, I accepted a childcare position and cared for the four children of one family from February 2012 until August 2012, when the employment situation of the mother changed, and she could not afford my services anymore. I am still friends with the family and keep in contact. I then accepted a part-time sales position with a local retail store. I was an "Employee of the Month" in September. My main hobby is ballroom dancing and I do competitions. I love to write, and plan to try my hand at children's books. I am used to having other kids hang out at my home and unexpectedly stay for a meal or sleepover. I am very patient, optimistic, and good-humored, while still expecting discipline and good manners.
I am open to care for a girl in my home around the age of my 10-year-old daughter (just finished 5th grade). They could play together and I would take them to the pool, for ice cream, to the park, etc this summer. During the school year, we could work on homework together. I would love to share my child experience with your children.
