I am an experienced, certified nurse assistant, CPR and first aid certified. I have lots of experience working with infants and children of various ages. I have done a lot of babysitting (including with newborns) and have worked in nurseries as well. I have also been a nanny for a 3-year-old autistic child and his sibling. I love working with children, reading to them, playing games and going on outings. Growing up with two younger siblings I have always been in contact with children. I find joy in working them and would love to use my Bachelor's of Science in biology to help teach them as well. My favorite activities to do with children are those that allow them to use their imagination and learn something as well. I never just sit a child down in front of the television for the day, because I know that my job as a nanny or caregiver is to keep them engaged in activities, learning and exploring the world around them. I am very competent in working with numerous children of different ages at once. I have also taught English as a Second Language at a preschool overseas. I am a punctual and reliable employee and fulfill the requests of parents to their specifications. I am a hard and motivated worker. I am also willing to do light housework and know how to cook.
I have worked with geriatric patients at a nursing home and as a home health aide. I maintain a high level of respect for the patients and try to help them with tasks of daily living as well as encourage independence in the areas where they are capable and willing to care for themselves. I have seen the difficulties associated with growing older and work with patients to give them the help and respect they deserve in a trying time as they begin to need help with tasks of daily living. I find joy in working with people who have so much life experience and wisdom to share. I listen attentively to them and their loved one's requests and perform them to their specifications.
