I am a 28-year-old mother of a 3-year-old daughter and a 6-month-old son. For over 12 years, I have been involved with child development programs in a day-care setting, as a nanny, as an activity and site coordinator for a parks and recreation department, as well as in my home. In the day-care setting, I supervised and taught children ranging from infants through 5th grade both inside and outside the facility. In addition, I am CPR and lifeguard certified. As a nanny, I performed all typical child care duties including transportation to and from appointments, activities, and sports events. As an activity and site coordinator, I supervised school-aged children in an after school program and summer camps. I am trained in child safety, child discipline, and transportation. In my home, I insure that the children are in a safe and clean environment and are engaged in developmentally appropriate activities. My completed coursework includes Child Development, Human Growth and Development, Psychology, Mathematics for K-8 Teachers, Cognition and Language, and Foundations of Education which provides me with a strong understanding of what children need for optimal growth and development.
