Hi, my name is Lindsey and I am a recent graduate from Towson University with a Master's degree in research psychology.

I work part-time for the National Institute of Drug Abuse, a department of N. I. H. We do not have a set work schedule and are able to decide when and where to work (from home or office and what days and times). Although I am not required to spend a certain amount of time at the office, I typically go in about twice a week. My availability, is therefore, very flexible.

I have extensive childcare experience. As an undergraduate, I worked at the JCC after-school program, primarily floating between working with first-grade boys and second-grade girls. My duties included: supervising 10+ children, homework help, developing and coordinating activities appropriate for the developmental ages.
I spent the last 2 years of undergraduate school working as a part-time childcare provider for a local family's daughter, from age 3 until 5 years-old.

As a graduate student, I nannied for another local family's 2-year-old girl. I took a break as their nanny to assist in instructing a summer-long Psychology course for The Johns Hopkins Center for the Gifted and Talented Youth. I aided in instruction, lesson planning, developed evaluation measures, and introduced complex and challenging concepts to students, aged 15 and 16-years-old.

Last school year, I gained experience in special education as a program aide at Kennedy Krieger High School. I worked with a ninth-grade boy with learning, emotional, and behavioral problems. I provided one-on-one instructional and behavioral support in all of his classes.

I also tutor for a family working with both their six-grader and tenth-grader for the past twp years. I tutor both students in all of their subjects while focusing on organizational and study skills. Recently, The girls are doing very well in school so I have been tutoring them less and less and am now only helping on an as-needed basis.

My experience as a teacher, tutor, and childcare provider has equipped me with the tools and skills necessary to provide superior childcare.
