I'm currently a full-time student working towards a B.A. in French, and after that I will pursue a master's to be a physician's assistant. I have taken care of two children on a long-term basis. One child was a very outgoing 6-year-old girl and the other was a shy 4-year-old boy. I cared for these children Monday-Friday and on some weekends when the parents requested it. Sometimes my employer's friends would pay me to watch their children as well, while the adults went out as a group. I also cared for the children full-time each summer and during holidays. I waited for the kids at the school bus stop and walked them home. My duties were to help with schoolwork, prepare snack/lunch for the kids, play with them (which sometimes included outings), help the kids get ready for school the next day, prepare them for bedtime, and to keep the house tidy. I currently have a part-time evening position caring for a set of twins (5 years old).
