In my previous experience with caring for children, I have babysat for 3 young boys in the past, ages 1, 5, and 7. I would make sure they had a good time during the day and stayed busy. The older boy would have to complete his homework while I would watch them. I would make sure they all got a healthy dinner, and I would put them all to bed at a decent hour. For the 1-year-old I would have to change diapers as well.
At another household, I cared for a young boy at the age of 3. I would watch him for up to 5 hours at a time and make sure he was fed, napped, and changed. I would play with him indoors and outdoors, monitor his time on the television and computer, and put him down for nap time. Also, I would make meals and prepare snacks for him.
Other than official babysitting jobs, I have cared for children at Vacation Bible School with all different age groups. I would be placed in charge of a small group of 10 children who I was responsible for looking after. I also have tons of experience working in my church's nursery. In addition, I am an Early Childhood Education major, so I am constantly in the schools and looking out for children's safety, health, and best interests.
