I am a college graduate with an associate degree in Medical Assisting from Newbury College. I have a medical background. I worked for 23 years in the health care field.
I was employed by Harvard Vangaurd for 12 yrs. and Beth Israel Deaconess as well as Dedham Medical Associates as a Medical Assistant. At Harvard I was the Senior Medical Assistant and supervisor of several junior Medical Assistants, at BI I was a Medical Secretary and at DMA a Medical Assistant.
I am a married mother of one adult child age 28yrs. I am a homeowner in Norwood, Mass. Prior to moving to Norwood, I resided in Dedham for 10 years where I was also a homeowner. I grew up in Boston and attended Boston Public Schools. My first employment after graduating high school was with the Boston Police Department as a 911 Operator at headquarters. I have CPR training. I once saved my father's life by performing the Heimlich maneuver on him when he choked on a food item.
For several years of my tenure at Harvard, I worked in the Pediatric Department. I always enjoyed working with children.
Five years ago I obtained a part time position as a Nanny and was placed with a great family in Norwood. I watch 2 children ages 5 yrs. and 6 yrs. old. I thoroughly enjoy this position. However, I would like additional hours and the family does not have full time nanny needs.
I consider myself a mature, conscientious, dedicated worker, and a fast learner. I take direction well and complete all assigned tasks. I believe it is important to conduct myself with professionalism.
I am the godmother to the children of several relatives and friends and "favorite aunt" to two beloved nieces and one nephew. I am proud of the way I raised my daughter. She recently got married, bought a new home and also owns her own local hair salon for over five years. I believe my work experience and personal experience with children as well as my love of caring for children make me a natural as a Nanny.
