I have been a professional career nanny for the past 20 years and without a doubt, it continues to be the most satisfying work I could do. I love children and I truly enjoy working and caring for them. I relate to children exceptionally well, and I find the time I spend with them rewarding and fulfilling. My childcare duties include infant care, newborn care specialist, helping with a sleep schedule, bathing, feeding, clothing, and preparing bottles.
Regarding toddlers and older children, I help in daily care, supervision and education. I arrange play dates, encourage the child to participate in different activities that are age appropriate, help with homework, take the children to and from school, lessons, and appointments.
I run errands, drive the children, tidy up after the children, play, stay overnight or more, and supervise the children when both parents are traveling. I have worked for families with both parents working out of the home and I also worked alongside mothers who are home part-time or full-time. I am equally comfortable taking care of children with their parents at home or with parents who work full-time outside of the home. It is important to note that I have worked as a nanny with families for 8, 9 and 12 years, and I have cared for children since their day of birth until they were 9-years-old. I have also cared for two families with three children, since their day of birth for nearly 8 and 12 years. As a newborn care specialist and baby nurse, I can take care of a newborn for 24 hours for as long as 3 to 4 months. This includes night-time care for newborn as needed. I am experienced taking care of newborns and premature babies. As a certified nurse technician, newborn care specialist, and in CPR and First Aid, I prove myself to stay calm in all kinds of situations. My goals as a nanny are to ensure the safety and well-being of the child and to develop a good relationship with the children, parents and other individuals. I strive to be dependable, thoughtful and creating a fun, safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for the children whom I am a nanny for.
