I am a recent graduate from East Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Child Studies. I have babysat children ever since I was 12 years old and enrolled in a babysitting course at the local hospital in my hometown. From 14 to 15 during the summers I would watch two little girls ranging in ages from 8 to 12 over the span of time. Also, I have watched my parents' friends children and tutored a little boy and helped him develop his fine motor skills. At age 18 I began working in a local day care center in my community that I attended as a little girl. I worked there for two years until I was laid off due to downsizing of the business. Then in 2011 in June, I began working at a Child Development Center at a local church facility. The only reason I am not still working there to this day is because I had to begin my internship required for graduation and because I recently moved to the Charlotte area.
