For four years twice a month I looked after six 2-year-olds in my church's nursery. For the past 8 years or so I have babysat for about 5 or 6 different families, mostly once a week for parents' night out, and the most recent one has been for a 4-year-old boy quite regularly (about 3 times a week) for the past year and a half. My experience includes playing/reading inside, going outside to the park, preparing meals, brushing teeth/bedtime routines, and light housework. I also taught swim lessons at a YMCA the past 18 months, which included working with children ages 3 to 12, one on one and in group settings up to 8 children at once. I also worked with a handful of special needs children (Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy), about half in group lessons and half in one on one private lessons.
