I was born with a passion for children. I have five brothers, and I am the only girl. My mother home-schooled us when I was younger. My husband is a Coast Guard officer and is currently in flight school. I have always known that I wanted to work with youth and decided to be a teacher. Once I got involved in my education classes in school, I fell in love with teaching.
On top of two years of teaching experience and having five brothers, my experiences with children include student teaching, babysitting, being a nanny, and a couple of summers working as a camp counselor. I just recently spent 9 months nannying for 3-year-old triplet boys.
I've been raised with a teamwork mentality, and my parents only accepted excellence so I'm a very hard worker. I'm competitive, but also understanding and easy to work with. I'm flexible, I know that I do not know everything and I'm willing to go ask the hard, humbling questions. I also find it easy to love kids that are hard to love. I am a young, energetic person.
