Growing up, I always wanted to be a big sister and could not wait to be old enough to baby-sit. I started taking occasional jobs as a teenager. As a college student, I became a regular sitter for three kids between the ages of 7 to 9. I worked for that family, along with two others for over three years, at which point I moved to San Francisco and worked as a nanny through an agency. Eventually, I moved on to another job more closely related to my field (environmental studies), but really miss spending time with kids. I enjoy the creative aspect of child care (i.e., arts and crafts projects), and love that you gain something new and rewarding from the experience every day.

I love cooking and baking, so getting kids involved with meal preparation is mutually rewarding. I like anything outdoors, i.e., hiking, trips to the park, walking the dog, soccer, etc. Also, I am very big on art projects.
