I started babysitting when I was in junior high school as a means for a summer job. I babysat my youth pastor's son every weekday from early in the morning to late in the afternoon. From there, I started babysitting for my church on a regular basis. I worked from six o'clock to eight o'clock every Thursday night babysitting the church pianist's daughter as she accompanied the church choir. I babysat for the church choir until my junior year of high school. I also occasionally took care of my brother when my parents were at work and would regularly assist other parents in watching over babies and toddlers at my church's nursery. During my junior year and senior year of high school, I also mentored through a program that matches up high school athletes with children who have disabilities. I mentored an autistic girl until I left for college in September 2011.
