I have plenty of childcare experience during my life and I enjoy being around children I became an aunt at 10 years old and was a paid mother's helper by the time I was 14. I was a mother of my own two at 20 and was able to be a stay at home mom. When my youngest was a teen, I went back to work as an executive assistant. My son is a single father so I helped his children with their homework from kinder through sixth grade. In 2009, I volunteered as an art docent and realized how much I really loved working with children. This means I actually taught art appreciation to a 5th grade class once a month. I passed all the Irvine School District teacher's aide tests including language arts and math and thus I am able to tutor children and help them with their homework and school projects. I am presently taking care of two little girls ages 4 and 7 on Thursdays and Fridays. I give them my full attention when I am with them and they hate when I leave! Their mother is a school teacher and is happy to give me a reference. This summer, their parents trusted me enough to take care of them when they went away overnight on three separate occasions. They know I take care of them as if they were my own, considering their safety my first priority. I love to cook and am willing to prep your dinner. The children ask me to give their mom my recipes. My housekeeping is limited to caring for the children's room, their clothes and kitchen. I am looking for another part-time position for two days a week, any day Saturday through Wednesday as I am tied up on Thursday and Friday.
