I am currently in graduate school at Texas State University pursuing a 69-hour Specialist degree in School Psychology. I taught 7th/8th grade science in Austin for 3 years, and before that I worked as a research assistant for the National Institutes of Health pursuing research in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. I received my BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, although I am originally from the Baltimore/DC metro area in Maryland. I love working with children and have multiple years experience working with children in both home and academic settings. I have babysitting experience for children ages 1-10 years old, particularly during high school, and I worked at a day-care facility for children ages 2-5 during college. I was a lifeguard at multiple facilities in Maryland and Virginia from the ages of 15-22, and renewed my CPR certification multiple times during this period. I have had multiple safety trainings over the years as a lifeguard, camp counselor, pool director and middle school volleyball coach. These have included CPR for infants, children and adults, water safety and instruction, basic first aid and wilderness first aid.
