I've had lots of experience with children, both in the field of education and as a babysitter. I babysat throughout high school and into college and also volunteered in a day care center for a year in college (I worked in the toddler room with kids ages 2-4). In past years, I have not babysat much because I was living abroad, but I spent time with kids teaching and also volunteering at an orphanage. I'm very creative and love playing with kids, so I'm prepared to think of fun activities to do with your children while I watch them (taking kids outside for walks/to the park, doing craft projects, etc.). I have a working knowledge of child development from my psychology/social work background and will incorporate that into planning activities!
