I have a little over a year of experience working with children at a church nursery from ages 0-4 years and was being paid for it. I am the oldest of 4 sisters. I have had a lot of experience with them growing up since my parents used to work all the time. That experience includes cooking and cleaning. I still do some occasional babysitting for my parents for the younger two since my oldest younger sister is now 18 and in college. The youngest two are ages 5 and 12. I am a single mother and I have a son who is 14 months, so I know how it is to be with children all day, everyday. My mother does work so I do not babysit as much as I used to for her. I have also taken parenting classes and child education classes so I understand that children are little people just like everyone else and should be treated as such. I understand that children do not always make the right decisions or deal with things the right way and and I know that it is the caregiver's duty to help teach them to make the right decisions and learn to deal with situations. I know that just like grown people, children also have their bad days and they're not always in the best mood. Children should be taught to express themselves in a healthy way. At the church I have also worked with children with special needs and children with ADD and ADHD.
