I have been babysitting since I was in the 7th grade, so I've been watching children for a while now. I am the 2nd oldest of four children in my family, so I've watched my younger brother and sister while my parents have been out of the house. I've watched them after school, so I've helped them with their homework if they needed it. This summer will be my second year at a local summer camp. Last year I worked with 8-9-year-olds, but this summer I will be working with 5-7-year-olds. However, the camp has children ranging from 5-12. I absolutely love children. I just finished my sophomore year at Penn State and I'm majoring in elementary education with a minor in special education. I cannot wait to have a classroom of my own someday and get to work with children everyday.
