I have been providing care for children since I was 12 years old. I have been babysitting for a particular family regularly, for those 8 years (two girls who are now 11 and 6). My responsibilities when caring for these girls was getting them to and from their activities, keeping them active, feeding them, and putting them to bed. Just regular babysitting stuff. I have also picked up some other babysitting jobs over the years, but nothing as consistent as with the first family, with whom I am still very close. Last summer, (2011), I went to Northeast Harbor, Maine, where I was the Nanny for a family with two children under the age of 10 (a boy and a girl). I had to help get the kids ready for their rowing and sailing lessons in the morning, and get them to and from their various activities, throughout the day. I also helped out around the house wherever needed. I love working with kids of all ages, I just never know what's going to happen next. It's always a very exciting and rewarding job.
