I have 7 years of daycare experience as a lead teacher. Within that role, I planned and directed daily classroom activities, planned and organized group outings and trips. I am currently in my 4th year as a special education aide at a local elementary school where I work with a small group of special needs children on a daily basis. I instruct those students in a variety of activities for the purpose of reinforcing instructional objectives, I administer tests, homework and make-up work, I implement behavioral plans designed by an IEP team and I monitor those students during assigned periods within a variety of school environments. In addition to on-going professional development trainings, I hold a Child Development Associate from the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition. I completed the Project Crisis Class (an educational initiative designed to help students of all abilities learn content information across the curriculum) at the University of Virginia. I am also in my junior year at Liberty University completing a Bachelors of Science Elementary Education degree. I have also completed a background check.
