The first thing I like to tell people about is my brother! Although he is not actually my kid, I consider him to be! He is the love of my life! He is about to be 8 and for almost his whole life I have taken care of him at least 60% of the time. When ever I get free time, my husband and I are with him! On top of caring for my brother I have other experience as well. My cousin has three kids. They are 5, 3 and 5 months and I have been babysitting for her since her first child was born. I have also been house cleaning and house sitting for her for the last about five years. Then I started watching a friends infant who was 3 months old when I meet him. I watched him about four to five days a week for about 5 months. He would come to my house and then she would pick him up after she got off of work. He is just the cutest little baby, although he is not so little any more. After I stopped watching him I started being a nanny for a couple who had teenagers. One is in middle school and the other is in high school. I would pick them up from school around 2:00 p.m. and stay with them until around 6:30 p.m. when their parents got home. I would also take them to all school events and wherever they needed to go. Since they were older it was mostly for picking them up and getting them everywhere they had to be since they were both busy with school clubs and events. Then I would make sure they had a snack and that all their homework and chores were done before their parents got home. I also have experience during high school for two summers in a row when I sat for single moms who had to work. Each summer I watched infants around the ages of 3 months to one year. Some days I would have two infants together. It just depended on the day. They got their around 9:00 a.m. and left around 5:00 p.m. The biggest thing I like to remember when taking care of kids is TLC (Tender Loving Care). Kids are so important and they are so smart. Education and knowledge is important to develop with children. But so is making sure they are having fun and being kids! I have taken several classes on children. I took three classes in high school and four classes in college about kids and their psychology. I love kids and seeing them learn/grow! I can't wait to have kids of my own someday! I can provide references and have a clean background plus I am Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free! I also have a clean driving record! See you soon!
