I have always enjoyed being around children and have been babysitting since I was 12 years old. I was a nanny for 3 kids (one with special needs) for 3 years. During college, I worked at an after-school program for high-risk children ages 2-11 y. o. in a poverty stricken neighborhood. In addition to professional babysitting, I have personal experience with having a child in the home. For 5 years, I was a step-mother to a little girl for which we had split custody. Most recently, I worked full-time in a hospital and continued babysitting occasionally for friends and other families.

I have experience with children of all ages, from newborns to pre-teens and I am trained to work with children with special needs as well. I have taken college courses in child development (both physical and mental), child education, nutrition, and health care. I have a degree in Psychology with a minor in Nursing and am a certified Nurse's Aid. I am happy to work with and am confident in my abilities to tutor and/or assist with homework as well as care for an ill child.
