I am one of the oldest of seven children and babysat younger siblings often. I was often seen as the "older role model" to children and parents of the gymnastics team (often babysat for parents during my high school years). I taught preschool through high-school gymnastics/tumble classes, managing 15+ children at a time. I teach/assist gifted elementary students at Carnegie Mellon University (C-MITES). I have current Act 33/34 clearances (Child Abuse Clearance and Criminal Background Check). I am comfortable with dogs and other animals, do not smoke, and have reliable transportation.
My husband and I had our first child in January 2012. I am currently looking for an evening position but willing to work during the day if my child can be with me during that time while my husband is at work. I could provide watching your child in our home or yours.
