I have been in childcare for six years. I have worked with a variety of ages ranging from infants to school aged children. Some of my duties were planning and implementing art projects. I would make sure the children's schedules were followed and the standards were met not only for the school but also the state. I have been in a school age classroom during the summer in charge of a specific age group. I would take 10 to 15 children on different field trips at least three times a week. I would also make sure the daily lesson plans were being followed. I have been a nanny for two different families. The first family I worked with has four children ages 2 through 11. The second family has two children ages 10 months through 5. Once a month I would meet with the parents to collaborate on different ideas for field trips. They would give their feedback on my strengths and opportunities for growth. The duties that were entrusted to me were cooking, cleaning and homework. I was also responsible for taking and picking up children from extracurricular activities. I would make a calendar every month for the parents to follow. I would have daily sheets for the parents to see what their children had been doing all day. Included on the sheet were naps, bottles, feeding, diaper changes, medication and a little something the children had fun doing.
