I am from a large family, so being around kids has always been a big part of my life. I think that is where my love for working with kids began. I graduated from Texas State University in December 2011 with a bachelors in early childhood education and I am certified to teach grades k-6. My child care experience includes the following:

* Helping my mother with her in-home daycare throughout high school
* 6 months working at a day care prior to starting college (I worked primarily in the 2-year-old class)
* 1 year working at an after school program for the Austin Independent School District (Grades k-5)
* 3 years as a Nanny/Personal Assistant. I watched two wonderful boys. The eldest I began watching at 9 months and the youngest after he was born
* 1 year interning at an elementary school for my elementary education degree for Texas State University. One semester I worked in a kinder and a fifth grade class and the second semester in an intervention second grade class.
* A semester of student teaching in a kindergarten class
*subbing at Lost Pines Elementary in Texas

I enjoy watching children learn and being involved in creating learning experiences for them.
