Although I am a young college student, I believe that I have had great experience with children, and more than enough to be a great part-time nanny! I have babysat for several years children from ages six to 13, where I have really enjoyed having a good time with the kids and making it a great experience. Whether it means fixing meals, running them places, or just hanging out, I always make it a great time. I have also worked with younger kids from ages two and up to age 13 in teaching swim lessons for several years on both a swim team and a local pool. This may not sound like experience, but It is way more difficult that you think. It really taught me a lot about kids and how to gain their trust, and make something scary (like learning how to swim) a ton of fun! Being a lifeguard has also given me more experience with children of all ages. I am very outgoing and I find it easy to get along with all children, while at the same time be able to maintain control and discipline when necessary. I have never had any problems when working with children, and they always seem to enjoy themselves! I love playing games and thinking of creative things to do while babysitting or being a nanny. It makes it a lot more fun for everyone! I think that having a babysitter or nanny should be a great memory or something that the kids look forward to, and I strive to do so! I love kids, and I would love to have a nanny job in the summer, and I am willing to work as much as possible during the week and some weekends if needed!
