I have always had a great love for kids of all ages and I've enjoyed the variety of experiences I've encountered by working closely with children for the past eight years. Caring for children has taught me very valuable skills, such as the importance of patience, as well as, time-management skills and how important it is to be reliable. More importantly, caring for children has been such an uplifting part of my personal growth. There is absolutely nothing like a child 's smile to brighten your day!
In the past, I have worked with children of all ages as a neighborhood babysitter, preschool and elementary teacher assistant, Nurse Assistant specializing in Pediatrics, a full-time nanny, and, most recently, a camp counselor for girls ages 8-10. While at the camp, I was responsible for all aspects of care for the girls which included their safety, personal hygiene, their personal interactions with respect of others, uplifting their confidence and independence, and most importantly providing as much love and encouragement as possible. I really enjoyed working with children in an outdoor setting and hope to pursue a career in which I can inspire young minds to recognize the beauty and excitement of our environment for it is truly my passion.
According to my friends and family, I have a lot of spunk and excitement for life. It is with this positive energy that I am able to effectively connect with children and become someone they trust, a true friend. I love the different bonds that can form between a child and care-giver, and am excited to make more of those in the beautiful town of Asheville!
