I have had experience working with children for almost 20 years. When I was 13 I took a Safe Sitter Course at a local hospital and began babysitting for neighbors and friends of the family. I did this throughout middle and high school. Once I graduated high school I went to college for elementary education and during those 4 years I worked at a daycare. During my summers off from school I was a nanny for a wonderful family whom I still keep in touch with today. After graduation I became a teacher and have been teaching for 8 years. I love working with children, but don't like all the politics involved with teaching. I would like to work more one on one with children and their families and really have a positive impact on a child's life both personally and academically.
