Hello! My name is Kelly. I am 24 years old and grew up in Pensacola, FL. After working as a Peace Corps Volunteer for the past year, I'm returning home to work as a nanny before going to medical school in the next two years. My life has always involved working with children--from babysitting as a child and teenager to coaching swimming, working as a camp counselor, volunteering in Madagascar with mothers and children to prevent malnutrition and malaria, and my latest job as a teacher at a boarding school for at risk youth have all given me fantastic experience in creating positive and creative activities that promoted growth and education for the children I cared for as well as a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to create lasting relationships with the children I have worked with.

I received my post high school education at Rhodes College, where I earned my Bachelors Degree of Arts. I majored in History and supplemented my required courses with many additional classes in medical and psychological studies. This diversity of education provided me with many tools to teach, communicate, and care for children effectively.

I love swimming, running, surfing, sailing--just about anything active and I probably enjoy it! I am always the first one on the trampoline, running to the park, or just getting kids outside in the yard and making up games to have a fantastic afternoon. I am very focused on academics as well and have worked as a tutor for an inner city program in Memphis, began an English club in Madagascar to teach high school kids English and American culture, as well as taught a wide variety of subjects from high school literature to Algebra and Calculus while working at Eckerd Academy. In the future, I plan to continue working with kids as a Pediatrician. They always make life more fun and keep things exciting!
