I have a B. S. Degree in Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma State University. I have taught preschool (infants-pre-K) and kindergarten in the public schools. I had a teaching certificate in Oklahoma and Missouri. Since moving to Texas, I have not gone back to teaching. I have filled my days with my teenage sons and husband; but, now that my sons are attending high school, I am searching for a fulfilling part-time job.
I miss interacting with babies, toddlers, and young children! I am looking for a family or families that would like to have a permanent baby sitter come to their home once, twice, or three times a week from 9:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. (This would give that well deserved hard-working mom time to get her hair done, play tennis or golf, enjoy a lunch date, or volunteer in an older child's classroom). I would love to build a relationship with your child and family, where you would feel like I was part of your family. In time, if you would like, I could become a field-trip baby sitter. I could take your child or children to the zoo, the park, the Fort Worth Museum of history and science, the library, and many other exciting places. I promise your child will enjoy my companionship and I will help them grow developmentally, intellectually, and physically while they are under my care. I will play, talk, sing, hug, swing, read, count, listen, rock, stroll, and love your child. My experience as a preschool teacher, kindergarten teacher, mother, and classroom volunteer make me the perfect baby sitter/part-time nanny! I have never cared for twins/multiples, but, feel confident that I could be a perfect caregiver for them. (I raised two boys that were 17 months apart-that is pretty close to twins). I will arrive at your home with many engaging activities for your child/children (books, crafts, activities). At this time, I am not available. I am working with three families, four days a week. When Fall arrives, with the start of preschool, my availability my change. Keep checking back). Thanks for your interest in my profile and best of luck with your search!
