I have about 10+ years experience with kids. Childcare means a lot to me. I take it very seriously, but it's also something I find very beneficial - the kids have fun and the parents are satisfied knowing their kids are in good hands while they are away. As far as employment - I've done it all and nothing compares to my happiness for taking care of kids. Good to know - I am CPR and First Aid certified in infants, children, and adults! I also have a clean background check available!

I have been a local sitter/nanny for some time now for all kinds of age groups in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I have done full time, temporary, date night and emergencies, all that fun stuff.

I am not the kind of sitter to just sit around, I am very active and social with both the children and parents. I am vocal about any issues, I keep my phone handy but I take this job just like any other job in the world. I do not use my phone while working. But in childcare I will only use it for emergencies (to call the parents). I speak up about the daily events and activities at the end of each day, I have even written out daily journal/logs for other families. As I said, I am not a sitter who just hangs out and supervises the child, I am right up there on the playground going down the slide, teaching him how to use other playground equipment, running around, making sure he can see me as a friend not just the nanny/sitter, I read stories, teach them building with blocks (but make it fun), do arts and crafts, I even love going on walks too, so if its nice I can take them on long walks in the park, the playground, whatever they are up to.

I started as a babysitter for my huge family when I was a kid. There were a lot of us and I was pretty much the only girl around so I always ended up babysitting. Then it became a regular thing growing up where I started babysitting the kids around the neighborhood too.

When I was 16 years old, I took up a job working at the amusement park in the kiddie section. The ages ranged from newborn-elementary aged. I worked there for four years. It taught me a great deal of focus, safety and patience in general and mostly when it comes to kids. I had to deal with very large groups of kids and families all at once in summer conditions at a young age and I never had any problems. I received great compliments from guests!
