I grew up in a home day care center that my mother ran my entire life. After school I started a career as an insurance agent for a few years. When I got pregnant with our first child, I got hired as a nanny for several years until I had my second child. Wanting to be home with my children, I opened my own home day care and remained a child care provider for many years. Most recently I had the incredible opportunity to direct a preschool in Durham, NC. As much as I loved the experience of being able to lead a school, I felt the pull to return back to a home setting. I love children! I love being a part of their growth and being able to love and care for them as individual people. I think through my years of teaching and having the opportunity to love on so many children has given my life lessons that I will forever cherish. I am still so close to all of my families that I had the privilege of working with and that is very important to me.
