I have worked with all ages, as young as 2 months and as old as 12 years. I have excellent references available upon request. I work short or long-term jobs, as well as occasional ones. I currently provide occasional respite care for a family with a 5-year-old, 4-year-old, and a 4-month-old. I prepare meals and cleanup, provide diapering, take the children to the park, and play educational games with them. I really enjoy my time with them. I previously worked as a child care provider for babies at the church I attend. I've also worked with toddlers there. I provided respite care, snacks, personal care, creative playtime, and lots of hugs. I volunteered as a classroom assistant caring for babies, ages 2-7 months. The classroom was run by a government agency. I looked forward to their precious smiles; holding, playing with, feeding, comforting, and rocking them to sleep. I considered it a privilege to be a part of their development. I have 6 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in their homes and in a day program. I was a direct care provider for ages 16-55. I provided respite care, personal care and rehabilitation. I thoroughly enjoyed creating and implementing activities designed to teach life skills such as self-care, independent living, communication, and appropriate leisure time. I believe learning is effective with laughing, play, and praise. I was a dance instructor for 1 year at a community center. I created and taught an Intro to Ballet and Intro to Creative Movement class for 6-9-year-olds. I instructed and demonstrated proper warm-up, stretch, center floor, barre, and across the floor technique. I liked passing on my knowledge and history of experience with dance. Additionally, it was a joy to see new students learn to dance and grow by leaps and bounds in technique and self esteem. When I was a Maricopa Community College dance major, I worked for a day school as an After School Program Teacher's Assistant. I worked with 6-12-year-olds. I provided snacks, playtime, and short activities. I also taught and cared for the children when they were on school breaks, helping create a fun, structured day of learning. Additionally, when I was on a school break myself, I assisted with the care of toddlers during the day. I enjoyed my introduction to child care at that school.
