I started as a caregiver at the age of 12. I've worked in daycares and assisted care in their homes. Being the oldest of 2 in a single parent home, I began taking on the responsibilities of caring for a new baby at an early age. My mom had my baby sister when I was 11 and she was at work most of time so I took care of her while my mom was away. I immediately picked up an instinct to care for children. I am certified in CPR and I also took a class from the health department last summer on how to properly care for a baby. I volunteer at elementary schools through a program. I am also a tutor for elementary students in grades 4th and 5th. I am a college student that plans to attend law school after my undergraduate career. After law school I plan to become an attorney that works mainly with children. I feel as if this career would be most fitting because I've always loved working with kids.
