My name is Kaylene, and I am a college student taking time off before beginning nursing school next spring. I have experience working with children in ages ranging from infancy to 5 years old and have worked taking care of children in their homes as well as in a daycare setting. While working in a church run daycare program I split my time between caring for children in their infancy to toddler age and working with children ages three to five. In a home setting I have spent two summers working with a child who was ages 3-4 at the time. My past childcare duties have included meal preparation, laundry, crafts and music time, outdoor activities, driving to and from classes and appointments, potty training, bathing, as well as conducting age appropriate educational activities. Through school I have received CPR/BLS training, CNA certification and have taken courses such as Individual and Childhood Development and Family Dynamics and Relations. I have a dependable car and would be more than willing to take children on fun outings including the pool, zoo, museum as well as taking children to their individual classes and preschool programs. I have spent the past year using my CNA license to work in a geriatric center and although I did love caring for the elderly, I missed working with kids and am very eager to begin working with little ones again.
