Hello, My name is Kayla. In 2003 I worked for my mother as an assistant for her in home day care. In 2006 I started babysitting children ages ranging from nine months to 13 years old. More recently in July of 2011 I started a in home daycare where I taught three and 4-year-old children how to do finger paintings, communicative skills, their alphabet, numbers, colors, and nursery rhymes. We would go to the playground three times a week so that they could enjoy the fresh air. We would go on nature hikes and discuss what we would find like acorns, rocks, and leaves and we would talk about where they thought they came from. Every Friday was a fun day. We would start the first half of the day with learning activities and then after their nap time we would have an ice cream social, bake cookies, make smoothies with fresh fruits, or home made pizzas and would either watch a movie or play board games. However, I wasn't making enough to cover my bills so I went back to work for Sears. Now I'm looking to baby sit on an as needed to part time basis. My work schedule is usually very open. I only work two days a week.
