My experience with taking care of children as well as household chores started when I was about 15. I started watching three beautiful girls who were cousins. I would do this every summer as we lived right next door to each other. After that child care just kept coming up with family friends and employment at a gym. The best experience was when I was able to take care of a newborn child for a good three months. She was about 1-month-old. Her mother was a busy full-time student who worked full time as well. I was feeding, changing, and taking care of her baby every minute of the day. It was a great experience and has now led me to want to become a nurse and work with children.
