My name is KayCee Cooper. I am 19 years of age and currently attending Glendale Community College. I am going to Glendale Community College so I can obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education. I attended Peoria High School and graduated in 2010. While attending high school I took a child development class in order to get into my schools COOP program. It took me one semester to complete the child development class and I passed the class with a 'B.' After passing the child development class I got accepted into the "COOP" program. While in the "COOP" program I made up lesson plans every week. One week was used to prep for the lessons and the week after was used to teach them. I worked for three bosses and I worked with 5 of my fellow classmates. The children that I worked with were between the ages 4 and 5. I helped make sure the kids slept through their entire nap time, got them up from their nap, played with them outside on the play ground, made meals for them, and did anything that was asked of me. Over all I know how to set up a class room, make and teach lesson plans, and care for children who are younger than me. I have my; CPR certification, First Aid certification, Finger Print Clearance card, shot records updated and complete. I also have a year to two years experience with medical care. I took two years to take care of my great great grandmother, and I did volunteer work for Hospice of the Valley for one year. I am very experienced when it comes to taking care of children who are young or close to my age.
