My name is Katie. I'm 18 years old and a senior in High School. Ever since I was 11 years old I've been babysitting for various family friends. Mainly two families; one with a girl who was ages 6-10 during the time. I both babysat and nannied (the summers of 2007 and 2008), and the other family with two boys ages 6 and 7 who I babysat for at least once a month for a span of about a year and a half. I also have experience working in our church nursery two Sundays a month caring for children ages newborn to 6, as well as volunteering in my coach's preschool classroom. I change diapers, give out snacks, teach in fun ways, and play with them, and much more. Most recently, last summer, I had a part-time nanny position for a 6-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy. I took the kids to their activities such as swimming and gymnastics, we went for bike rides, we played a games, went to the pool a lot, and had a lot of fun together. I also had lunch with them and did light housekeeping. I really enjoyed the job, it was a good fit, so this summer I'd like to take on a full-time nanny opportunity.
