I spent the last year as a nanny for a family in Seattle. I had a 3 year old, 20 hours a week and her brother age 8, for about 14 hours a week. I absolutely loved working for this family. The three year old and I would go to story time weekly, go to dance classes, spend time with the koi fish at a local nursery, learn about turtles and rabbits at a pet store, and paint. We really loved to paint. We would try to discover something new everyday; whether that be a word, a dance move, or something about the world around us. Educational experiences came through stories, books, games and hands-on activities.
