I've always loved working with children and started babysitting (occasionally) in my early teens. In 2011, I moved to Sydney, Australia for one year where I babysat for nine families, caring for kids aging from 1-11 years. I later moved in with one of the families as an Au pair. They have three children ages 11, 7 and 4; girl, boy, girl respectively. I worked as the mother's right hand helping with housekeeping, cleaning, cooking, school pick-up and drop-off, watching over play dates, playtime, bedtime, bath time, taking children to the playground or beach and any other responsibilities a parent would have. I traveled with the family to a music/culture festival for several days where I helped look after their children as well as their friend's children (up to six kids at a time- ages 4, 4, 7, 8, 11 and 12.) I also worked as a volunteer at a home for women and children in Chiang Mai, Thailand in early 2010, where I helped look after the children (approx. 12 children ages 1-5) in the daycare during the week.
