Most recently, I became an aunt to a beautiful baby girl born in November 2009! She is amazing! I currently work as a disability aide for two boys (now age 16) with Cerebral Palsy, sensory disorder, high functioning Autism and cognitive delays. I do tutoring, physical therapy, exercise, bathing/grooming, cooking, and cleaning. I also attend all of their IEPs and any other meetings that involve their health. I am CPR and First Aid certified. During my free time I recently became a volunteer for CHOC (Children's Hospital of Orange County). I also attend school for Psychology during the fall and spring semesters. I am looking for something part-time or on call. I left my position as a full-time nanny for a family with two children, ages 2 and 6 in Laguna Niguel in March 2009. I was also a nanny/babysitter part-time for two families: one family with a 5-year-old little girl in Newport Beach and one with a 1-year-old little boy (born two months early) and 3-year-old little girl. I do temp work for an nanny agency and have most recently filled in and sat for two boys, a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old. I now babysit regularly for this family and have a great friendship with them. Last June, I left a position with a family that has a 10- turned 11-year-old. It was a great experience! I have been sitting for different families since I was in junior high. I was a regular summer and part-time winter sitter for a family with three boys all throughout high school. I also helped out with the recreational team and was a call-in babysitter for a local resort in my hometown. For one year when I was 16, I taught an "adventure night" class for 5- and 6-year-olds at my church. Later in college, I was a nanny for a 1-year-old little girl for a semester part-time. I have babysat for children as young as 5 weeks and as old as teenagers. I have experience with premature infants, children with severe food allergies, ADHD, cognitive delays, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, sensory disorder, and Down Syndrome.
